Most of the people I know appreciate great logos and meaningful design. For a number of logos there are articles around the web like this one with regards to hidden icons and messages in them. A hidden message to me is like a blink of the eye – some people don’t notice it, some people do. The first group of people just see the logo (no second reading – no positive or negative feelings) but the second group feels flattered just because they noticed it. It’s exactly like the feeling of solving a brain puzzle…you always feel nice about it.
I am glad to see that there are examples of Greek companies that have also hidden messages/images in their logos. A nice example is the logo of a tiny Indian Restaurant in Chalandri called Pink Elephant. The food every time I dine there is excellent, true to its promise and definitely great value for money. However the last time I have been there to dine, I took a more persistent look in its logo.
You can easily see two distinct Indian Towers and at the same time a pink elephant (the restaurant’s name) looking to the right. You perceive that the circle in the first point of view is the sun, while in the second it’s simply the elephant’s eye. Do you see anything else? Scroll down for the answer!
